BETHANY BAPTIST CHURCH
Blanchester Care Center
Weekly Services Thursday Evenings at 7:00 p.m.
This ministry gives patients a chance to sing, pray and hear 30 minutes
of preaching. This has been a very joyful ministry, we have seen a number
of the patients accept the Lord and many have now gone on to meet the Lord.
I would encourage every church to get involved in a nursing home ministry.
This ministry has lasted 14 years.

LYNCHBURG KENTUCKY, MERIDZO CENTER MINISTRIES
Lonnie and Belinda Riley moved back to their hometown of Lynch, KY in the spring of 1999. At the time Lonnie had a successful pastorate at a church in Mississippi. God called them back to the mountains and Lonnie and Belinda resigned their church and took a step of faith. They are the founders and directors of Meridzo Center Ministries. Meridzo is Greek, which stands for "we care." Meridzo ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of the people.
In 2002 we heard Bro. Lonnie speak at a revival. Over the past few years we have visited Lynch several times and have felt a call and burden for the area. We have been approved as MSC Missionaries and will be assigned to Lynch. We will serve as liaisons for Lynch here in Ohio.
During a recent visit to Lynch one lady told us of how she had prayed for God to send her an angel. With tears in her eyes she said, "God sent me a whole group of angels." A mission team of Senior Adults from South Carolina did an extreme makeover on her home. She told us her daughter and son-in-law, who do not attend church, attended church this past Sunday. God is truly performing a "Miracle on the Mountain."
Groups are needed to visit shut-ins, prayer walking, holding backyard Bible Clubs, to assist with yard work and food is needed for the food pantry. Property needs to be cleared of trees. The City of Cumberland is broke. They are in need of 24 tires for police cruisers and need paint to spruce up buildings in town. The sewing ministry teaches women how to sew and seamstresses sometimes come down and make things while there on mission trips.
Randy and I will be reaching out to other churches in the state of Ohio to try and connect more churches with the ministry.

SOUTHERN HILLS CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S JOB CORPS (SHCWJC)
The Christian Women’s Job Corps purpose is to equip women for life and employment. Every woman with needs is eligible. This ministry provides an avenue where women help themselves by becoming job ready and self-reliant. This is accomplished by seeking to minister to the total woman; spiritually, physically, emotionally and educationally. The underlying goals are to help women come into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and to gain skills for life and employment.
This has been an established nondenominational program that has been helping women get a new start in life for many years. Instead of a hand out, SHCWJC reaches out with classes in Bible study, parenting, pre-employment skills, computer skills and GED classes. We have mentors with 12 weeks of Bible study training ready to work with ladies in need of the services listed above. The program offers skills assessments, job search and resume preparation skills. As well as, helping women confront emotional, physical and any other barriers that prevents the women from succeeding. It is such a beautiful sight to see a woman complete the program and start becoming the woman God intends her to be. The love and fellowship that SHCWJC provides helps volunteers and participants continue to grow in faith and become better women, parents, wives and friends.
One testimony of a young participant of SHCWJC is that she would not be able to go to college. She is currently attending Southern State. Her mentor is of great help to her while she’s at college. The mentor baby sits and they do Bible study together.
We need your prayers and support for this mission to continue to grow. If you know a woman who needs a hand up, not a hand out, or if you want to volunteer or support this program in any way please call.
